Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SWTORBIT ("we," "us," or "our") collects across swtorbit.com and its companion tools — the Games app at games.swtorbit.com and the List tool at list.swtorbit.com (together, the "Services") — how that information is used and stored, and your choices regarding it.
We do not sell your data to any third party, under any circumstances. That commitment applies across every part of the Services described below.
Who We Are
SWTORBIT is an independent, non-commercial fan project run by an individual. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy and can be contacted at [email protected]. We do not earn money from the Services.
Information We Collect
swtorbit.com (main site)
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand traffic and usage. This collects standard analytics data such as your approximate location (country/city, derived from your IP address, which Google Analytics does not store), device and browser type, pages visited, and referring site. If you choose Essential Only or ignore the cookie banner, Google Analytics is not loaded and none of this data is collected. See Cookies & Analytics below.
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address to run this check. The name, email address and message you send are emailed to us so we can reply; they are not saved in any database.
games.swtorbit.com
The Games app may store data needed to provide its features, which can include:
- Account or session identifiers used to recognize you between visits.
- App-specific data you create or save, such as saved settings, loadouts, progress, or other game-related entries.
- Basic technical and log data (device/browser type, timestamps, error logs) used to operate and troubleshoot the app.
list.swtorbit.com
The List tool stores the data needed to provide your lists, which can include:
- Lists, entries, or notes you create and choose to save.
- Account or session identifiers used to associate saved lists with you.
- Basic technical and log data (device/browser type, timestamps, error logs) used to operate and troubleshoot the tool.
How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- To save and sync your data (such as lists or app settings) between sessions and devices.
- To understand usage and improve features, performance, and reliability.
- To diagnose, prevent, and fix technical issues or abuse.
- To respond if you contact us directly.
Legal Basis for Processing
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR / UK GDPR:
- Consent — for analytics cookies and Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Cookies & Analytics).
- Performance of a contract — to store and provide the lists, settings, and other data you save in the Games app and List tool.
- Legitimate interests — to keep the Services secure and working (technical and error logs) and to reply when you contact us.
How We Store Data
Data associated with games.swtorbit.com and list.swtorbit.com is stored in our databases and/or your browser's local storage, tied to your account or session. We keep it until you ask us to delete it, or until your account has been inactive for 2 years. Data kept only in your browser's local storage stays on your device until you clear it.
We Do Not Sell Your Data
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data or app data to third parties for marketing or any other purpose — ever. We may share limited data with service providers strictly to operate the Services (for example, hosting or analytics providers), under obligations to keep it confidential and use it only to provide that service to us, or where required to comply with the law.
International Transfers
Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, and data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK Extension), and Google also relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to protect these transfers.
Cookies & Analytics
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics only loads, and its cookies are only set, if you click Accept. You can change your choice at any time using the button below. If you withdraw consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser. We ask again after 12 months.

Google keeps analytics data for up to 14 months. You can also block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. For more on how Google uses this data, see How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR and UK GDPR), you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to how we process your data;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before you withdrew it.
To use any of these rights, including for data linked to your account on games.swtorbit.com or list.swtorbit.com, email [email protected]. We will reply within one month.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); in the EEA, the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work.
Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. In some EEA countries the age at which a child can consent to online services is higher (up to 16); where that applies, children below that age should only use account features with a parent's or guardian's permission.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and if a change affects how we use cookies we will ask for your consent again.
